The Starbucks 4.81 Cobra 7.40 is the very first CFW to benefit from the new Cobra patch that will be integrated into the future Rebug 4.81.1 as we explained.

The Cobra 7.40 patch adds a new Syscall 15 which will perform various internal functions on the LV2, and Habib also updated stage0_base for faster startup and faster checking of Hash.

What's new aout it

COBRA 7.40:

UPDATE HASH:

Make a text file named hash_recheck.txt

inside the file put new hashes in format filename:hash per line(e.g vsh.self:a0000101002e6534)

paste this file at /dev_hdd0/hash_recheck.txt

reboot ps3 and then reboot again

SYSCALL 15:

allows calling of any lv2 internal function like internal memcpy to dump lv2. e.g(memcpy(dst, source, size, symbol) ;)

this also allows developers to execute their own payload at an address e.g you paste payload at 0x3d98 and then execute through sc15

example has been attached with new include file named "sc10_15.h"

OTHER CHANGES COMPARED:

with ALL the current cobra cfw released they have a stage0 bug which overwrites another function stack, which could cause instability

!!!!before you install any CFW plz

Please make sure that youhave 3.55 OFW or any CFW. Official 3.56 and higher Sony firmware are not supported

Please remove any blueray disk

Delete any spoof

How to install

1 - create PS3 directory then inside it UPDATE directory in fat32 Flash disk USB copy DARKNET 4.81 CEX V1.00.PUP and rename it to PS3UPDAT.PUP

2 - connect the flash to your PS3then go to SETTING then UPDATE SYSTEME

3 - chose UPDATE VIA STORAGE MEDIA

4 - take a coffe and wait the instaltion
5- enjoy your jailbraked console and play all downloaded games
